Trevor Mikell came to Florida College from Bell, Florida where he was very involved in music in his school's band program. He started out as a nursing major in 2012 and then returned in 2014 as a music education major. He has been a featured soloist in both the Wind and Jazz band ensembles for the past four years and a member of the Chamber Singers and the Florida College Chorus.
     During his sophomore year he was the title role in The Mikado. The following year played "Shermy" in "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" and played "Prince Dauntless" in this years performance of "Once Upon A Mattress". At this years National Association of Singers (NATS) district competition he placed second in Upper Division Male Musical Theater category. 
     Trevor plans to finish his BA in Music Education here at Florida College. After that he plans to work for a few years before eventually going back to get his Masters in Conducting. He plans to pursue his dream of becoming a music educator whether on the high school level or collegiate level. Eventually he hopes to serve on the National School Boards Association and help improve music education in schools across America

Jessie Tharp comes to us from
Indianapolis, IN, where for seven
years she participated in various
performing groups and was a fea-
tured soloist.  During her three
years at Florida College she has
been a member of chorus, Chamber
Singers and was part of the 2014
production of “The Mikado”. 
She has competed in the National
Association of Teachers of Singers
district competition each year, and
this year placed third in the Upper
Division Women's Musical
Theater category.  
      While at Florida College,
Jessie has also participated in the Florida College Singing Friends, been a member of the national champion volleyball team, alpha club, and various other campus organizations.
      Jessie plans to finish her BA in music from Florida College with a minor in pre-professional health science. After that, she hopes to attend a Masters program and become a Physician's Assistant.
